• The original intention of the BHEK’s establishment is to preserve and maintain political stability and the government of the Alliance.

• Provide feedback report with accurate, current and valid on issues of politics and religion.

• Prepare and provide expert services to the people face to face communication.

• Acting on the principle of truth looms Cemerlang` State in carrying out its duties.

The Functions

• To plan and implement strategies, programs, activities to educate and convince the people to the leaders of the country.

Yayasan Perak ditubuhkan pada 12 Julai 1979 mengikut Enakmen Penubuhan Yayasan Perak Bil. 2 tahun 1979. Enakmen asal ini telah dipinda dan digantikan dengan Enakmen Bil. 6 Tahun 1994 yang telah diluluskan oleh Dewan Undangan Negeri pada 29 Ogos 1994.Di peringkat awal penubuhan Yayasan Perak, ianya telah diuruskan oleh seorang pegawai di Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Perak secara sambilan.Mulai Julai 1984, Y.A.B. Menteri Besar telah mengarahkan supaya Yayasan Perak ditadbir dan diuruskan secara sepenuh masa. Dengan itu, jawatan Pengurus Besar dan kakitangannya diwujudkan dan Yayasan Perak mula mempunyai pejabat sendiri.Pada awalnya Yayasan Perak telah menyewa bilik di Bangunan Seri Kinta dan telah beroperasi di situ selama dua tahun. Kemudian Yayasan Perak telah berpindah ke bangunannya sendiri di Wisma Yayasan Perak di Jalan Sultan Idris Shah pada tahun 1986 sehingga ke hari ini.

Skop Bidang Kerja

• Mengkaji, menilai dan memberi perakuan yang sesuai terhadap sebarang cadangan pelaburan baru dan projek-projek sedia ada Yayasan Perak di dalam syarikat milikan, bersekutu, pelaburan dan usahasama Yayasan Perak.
• Mengkaji, menilai dan memberi perakuan yang sesuai terhadap sebarang cadangan kewangan dan projek sedia ada Yayasan Perak yang melibatkan hartanah dan aset Yayasan Perak.

Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (Sarawak State Library), is conceived as a major information resource centre and as the hub of information services for the public and private sectors. It will link with libraries, archives and information centers elsewhere in Sarawak and throughout Malaysia. It will also provide a gateway into and from publicly accessible international information centres. Its complex will serve as a community centre of knowledge and cultural enlightenment, where Malaysians in Sarawak can not only access a vast store of information, in the form of both printed and electronic media, but also gather for educational and cultural exchanges, programmes and participate in many other regularly conducted activities.

The Logo Rationale

The 5 curved lines are conceptualised from the side view. The following direction of these five lines from left bottom to right up corner is leading to 5 Basic Qualities of a modern digital library. The shape of the traditional handicraft of hornbill ivory is conceptualized from a curved book cover, of which is to represent. The toning Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s green is to represent boundless and infinite knowledge, just like the sky and the ocean.

Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia was started as Malayan Library Group since 1955 in Singapore, when the country still part of The Federation of Malaya. Under the University of Malaya Library they sent out circulars to all librarians and interested persons inviting them to attend a preliminary meeting to discuss the possibility of the formation for a library group or association.

The 47 persons of the committee was agreed that there should be a library organisation to unite all interested in library work. A subsequent meeting held in the Raffles Library on Friday, 25th March 1955 and attended by 36 members agreed to the formation of the association named the Malayan Library Group. It was later changed to Librarians Association of Malaysia, or Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia.

The Mission – Recognising that libraries and information centres are strategic resources for national development, Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia is committed to the creation of an information-rich knowledge-based civil society, through the promotion of information equity, lifelong and independent learning, and enhancement of library and information professionals.

The Vision – To be a leader of excellence in the development, promotion and support of Malaysian library and information professionals and institutions in global knowledge industry.

Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia – JAKIM, began with the establishment of the National Council for Islamic Affairs, Malaysia (MKI) in 1968 when its establishment was agreed by the Conference of Rulers. In 1974, the Secretariat of the MKI was upgraded to a Religious Division in the Prime Minister’s Department and was given the name of the Bahagian Hal Ehwal Islam – BAHEIS, ‘Islamic Affairs Division’.

In line with the development of the country and the contemporary needs of the Muslim community, the Islamic Affairs Division (BAHEIS) has been restructured. On 2nd October 1996, the Cabinet agreed with the recommendation that the status of BAHEIS of the Prime Minister’s Department be upgraded into a Department effective on 1st January 1997 with the name of Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia – JAKIM, ‘Department of Islamic Development Malaysia’.

JAKIM establishment is seen as one platform to meet the needs of the Muslim community in line with the development of the country that makes Islam as its official religion. The transformation carried out by JAKIM is in line with the vision, mission, motto, objectives and functions of this department as a leader in building a superior civilisation for the ummah.

To strengthen the management and produce a more efficient workforce, JAKIM is divided into four main sectors: Policy Sector, Human Development Sector, Management Sector and Sector Under the Director General. These sectors formed 22 divisions and all of them are under the auspices of Jakim compared to just 14 divisions during the earlier part of its establishment.

Divisions in the Policy Sector are the Planning and Research Division, Islamic Development Division, Communication Division, Fatwa Management Division, Law Coordination Division. The divisions under the Human Development Sector is divided into Da’wah Division, Human Development Division, Family, Social and Community Division, Publishing Division and Media Division.

Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah terletak di bandar Temerloh, Pahang. Ia terletak di pertengahan Lebuhraya Kuala Lumpur – Kuantan.

Hospital ini dibina bagi menggantikan Hospital Mentakab yang telah lama. Pembinaannya dimulakan pada Jun 2002 dan tamat pada 15 Jan 2005.

Ia mula beroperasi secara berperingkat pada Mac 2006, dan kemudian dirasmikan Sultan Pahang pada 27 Mac 2006 (9 tahun) bersamaan 26 Safar 1427H.

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia – PAM, (Malaysian Institute of Architects) was founded in 1920 as the Institute of Architects Malaya. In 1948, the name and consequently the Constitution were changed to the Federation of Malaya Society of Architects (FMSA) which was allied to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Another change in name to reflect national sovereignty, and registration under the current name, came about when PAM was officially registered on 20 January 1967.

The Institute is managed by an elected Council consisting of a President, Deputy President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and 13 Council Members. Also in Council are the Immediate Past President, up to 4 nominated Past Presidents, up to 3 nominated non-Corporate member and 4 elected representatives from the Chapters.

The mission statement of the Institute is ‘To promote the advancement of architecture and the architectural profession for the betterment of society’. The Institute provides a framework for its members to operate effectively: to do, to run and to get the business of architecture within the Code of Conduct and Scale of Fees.

The primary objectives of the Institute are:

• To promote and enlarge knowledge, study and practice of architecture.
• To provide a central organisation for architecture.
• To assist and advise Governments, local authorities, or other private or public bodies.
• To promote friendly interaction and discourse amongst Architects.
• To obtain and disseminate among the Members, information on matters affecting the profession, and
• To preserve and to maintain the integrity and status of the profession.

Kolej Vokasional Sungai Petani 1 – KVSP1 mulanya dikenali sebagai Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Sungai Petani 1, beralamat di Lot 82, Kampung Sungai Tukang, Sungai Petani, Kedah. Projek pembangunan sekolah ini membabitkan kawasan seluas 41 ekar ini dibiayai oleh Bank Pembangunan Asia berjumlah RM 37 juta. Pada Januari 1997, sekolah ini telah dinaik taraf ke Sekolah Menengah Teknik Sungai Petani 1. Sejak tahun 2010 pimpinan sekolah ini telah berjaya meningkatkan keputusan SPM SMVSP1 dan dengan itu telah meningkatkan status sekolah daripada Band 6 ke Band 4.

Pada tahun 2012, SMVSP1 menjadi salah sebuah Kolej Vokasional Rintis mewakili negeri Kedah dan merupakan antara 15 buah KV (Kolej Vokasional) rintis di Malaysia. KVSP1 (Rintis) telah mendapat Anugerah Kecemerlangan Pengurusan Kewangan dan Akaun Tahun 2012 daripada Jabatan Akauntan Malaysia. KVSSP1 tersenarai antara sepuluh sekolah terbaik di antara 300 PTJ Negeri Kedah. Pada tahun 2012 di bawah program Transformasi Pendidikan Vokasional, sekolah ini telah dinaik taraf ke Kolej Vokasional Sungai Petani 1 (Rintis) bersama-sama dengan 15 buah KV yang lain di seluruh Malaysia.

Komuniti Sihat Perkasa Negara – KOSPEN adalah suatu inisiatif dan kolaborasi antara Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia – KKM dan Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat – KEMAS. Idea ini telah dicetuskan oleh YB Menteri Kesihatan Malaysia, pada bulan Julai 2013, untuk memperkasakan rakyat Malaysia dalam penjagaan kendiri bagi mengurangkan beban penyakit tidak berjangkit (penyakit NCD) di Malaysia, dengan menggunakan mekanisma kerajaan di peringkat akar umbi.

Memandangkan KEMAS banyak menjalankan program-program yang melibatkan masyakarat khususnya luar bandar, serta hubungan rapat dengan komuniti, maka KEMAS telah menjadi agensi pilihan sebagai rakan kongsi strategic kepada KKM bagi menjalinkan kerjasama dalam usaha untuk menerapkan gaya hidup sihat di dalam masyarakat Malaysia. Perlaksanaan inisiatif ini berkonsepkan holding hands di mana KKM memberi panduan teknikal kepada pegawai KEMAS dan juga sukarelawan yang akan melaksanakan aktiviti di komuniti manakala KEMAS dan sukarelawan di komuniti yang dilatih akan memainkan peranan sebagai agent of change bagi membentuk amalan sihat di kalangan masyarakat.

The establishment of the Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga & Masyarakat – KPWKM, (The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development), is a manifestation of the government of Malaysia’s aspiration, pursuant to the Fourth World Conference on Women in 1995, and has been implemented in accordance to the document entitled ‘Platform for Action For The Development of Women Towards the Year 2000″. Establishment of a full-fledged ministry that demonstrates the government’s commitment to raise the status of women in this country.

It was first established and named as the Kementerian Hal Ehwal Wanita, (Ministry of Women Affairs) on 17 January 2001. The role and functions of the Ministry were then enlarged and expanded and the ministry was subsequently renamed as the Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita dan Keluarga – KPWK, (Ministry of Women and Family Development) on 15 February 2001. As a result, the Jabatan Hal Ehwal Wanita – HAWA, (Department of Women Affairs) and Lembaga Penduduk & Pembangunan Keluarga Negara – LPPKN the (National Population and Family Development Board) were placed under the jurisdiction of this Ministry. The role and function of HAWA was subsequently reviewed and restructured and it is now known as Jabatan Pembangunan Wanita – JPW, (Department for Women Development).

After the 11th General Election in March 2004, the roles and responsibilities of KPWK were further broadened. On 27 March 2004, the Ministry of National Unity and Social Development was dissolved and some of their functions were subsequently subsumed into KPWK. In line with the restructuring, KPWK was further re-named as the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM).

With the latest reorganisation, the Ministry now oversees 4 agencies under its direct jurisdiction:

• • Jabatan Pembangunan Wanita – JPW, (Department for Women Development)
• • Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia – JKMM, (Social Welfare Department of Malaysia)
• • Lembaga Penduduk & Pembangunan Keluarga Negara – LPPKN, (National Population and Family Development Board)
• • Institut Sosial Malaysia – ISM, (Social Institute of Malaysia)

The NAM (Non-Aligned Movement) Institute for the Empowerment of Women – NIEW was officially established on the 1st of July 2006 and falls under the purview of KPWKM after Malaysia had been given the mandate to establish this Institute by NAM Member Countries.
